does the 1.8 head fit straight onto a 2.0l bottom? as i have a head lined up from classicswede and it seems the easiest way i can get my volvo running soon again...

Yes with the 2.0 head gasket. You will need a 2.0 ECU tho for best results.

ah thats awesome, is it possible to remap the 1.8 ecu to do the same job, as i have a friend who is competant in mapping so can sort it out if its possible to do it...

Yes. I think it would be. Without actually using a rolling road, you could just use the williams factory maps, which are fairly easily available online. The ECUs are the same, the fueling and ignition data held on the EEPROM is all that varies between the 16v and williams, as far as I know.

awesome thats fine then, i mean should run with 1.8 mapping but not be brill but as long as it fires then i can get him to remap to better than standard anyway.

Is the megan and the clio rocker cover the same? or can they be interechanged?

Will physically fit however due to coil packs cant be used on an early engine without making your own HT leads.
