Panels... Panels....

Post by Edcase 300 »

Hi everyone 340pw I saw a couple of you guys mention Hadrian in a post on this forum-these guys do panels for quite a few cars including the 340 and 360 (76-91) ...

So i thought id do some market research as Im half considering replacing some of the metal parts myself as I cant find any welders who can be arsed to work on a Volvo 340/360

These are the prices i got for some parts:

Part No |Qty| Description
93-34-546 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - REAR VALANCE £59.30 + vat.
93-34-008 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FULL SILL 4 DOOR/5 DOOR HB RH £44.10 + vat.
93-34-009 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FULL SILL 4 DOOR/5 DOOR HB LH £11.40 + vat.
93-34-236 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT WING 9/85> RH no longer available.
93-34-237 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT WING 9/85> LH no longer available.
93-34-421 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT DOOR SKIN 4/5 DOOR LH £31.20 + vat.
93-34-420 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT DOOR SKIN 4/5 DOOR RH £ 31.20 + vat.

As you can see the prices are not mega-but not super cheap (the panels would still have to be painted etc)

They also dont seem to do front wings for the 360 (85 onwards) anymore... :? Kind of what i need the most atm and probs some of you guys too right?

Just wondering what you guys think/know about replacing panels/treating bodywork-what would you do? Where would you try looking for panels etc? 340pw

The hadrian website is http://hadrian.dominohosting.biz/hadria ... e!OpenForm if any one is curious. sm6

I've found Hadrian to be very helpful with panels, and can recommend them! '85 on wings aren't being sold by NOR / Klokkerholm ATM and hence aren't in the Hadrian parts catalogue. The last I heard they were still available from Volvo by special order in Sweden though.

Also, it's always a good idea to have a look at dafhobby.nl
http://www.dafhobby.nl/pages/plaatwerk_3pag.html
Danny appears to have a RH replacement wing in stock.

About two years ago, I got some outer sills (for a DAF 66) from a company in Germany. These were manufactured by Warny.

Someone recently tried to get some, but the German retailer said they couldn't get them anymore. (which is odd as their catalogue status is different re: triangles/circles/squares) So he ordered them from Danny. The Warny panels were ok. Not OEM spec or quality, but good enough for an aftermarket part.

Not order from Scandcar though. I hope it will be a long time before my 1982 car needs panels. It's fairly mint.

The place I got my parts from was: www.atp-autoteile.de Some pics and prices there.

That looks like the standard NOR / Klokkerholm range of panels there :-) But it's not always easy to find a stockist for their stuff here - thanks for the info!

Just been ringing Hadrians today too, they gave me numbers of local dealers in their parts, cheapest I've been quoted for wings was £73.20 +V.A.T. each.

93-34-008 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FULL SILL 4 DOOR/5 DOOR HB RH £44.10 + vat.
93-34-009 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FULL SILL 4 DOOR/5 DOOR HB LH £11.40 + vat.
93-34-236 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT WING 9/85> RH no longer available.
93-34-237 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT WING 9/85> LH no longer available.

93-34-421 | 1 | VOLVO 360 SERIES (10/76-10/91) - FRONT DOOR SKIN 4/5 DOOR LH £31.20 + vat.

The 1980 MY still appears to be available according to the dealer, not good news about the later wings :(

Its defo a bummer about the mk3 wing situation-trouble with mine is that the wheel areches are pretty grotty :? I hear that it might be possible to get the mk3 wings from volvo sweden by special order (Trabi-i wish i could speak swedish-if only i could try to butter up the parts sales people from volvo hehe)

Thats great about the wings for your Volvo though Hell Driver 340pw

In The Netherlands we have Artaparts and Euroautoparts. They list the same items with a picture of the panel. There, the picture is only the lower part of the panel you mean. That is where the bumper brackets go through.

Check www.Artaparts.nl for information (that website speaks for itself, even in Dutch).

My guess was that it is the bumper part like you suggest, but couldn't quite tell from the website.
Still hand links to have though :D

This Mk3 wing problem will soon become an issue if some one has a bump. No replacement repair panels would mean getting written off no?

I guess there are more used MkIII wings tucked away across Europe than earlier types ... I wouldn't get too worried, unless you've got an unusual colour - and even then it could be resprayed - something you'd have to do with a "new" wing anyway.

Here's the last info I found on MkIII wings from Volvo:
http://www.volvo300mania.com/forum-uk/v ... 82&p=73196
still available as of Jan 2008 for 67 pounds each.

Cheers
