this has been stalled for 4 months now, not done anything to and am so tied up with other things im considering selling it or breaking it.

please bear in mind, its partially in bits, but basically requires nothing other than reassembly and wiring. no welding or anything.

good bits-
fresh rebuild F7P. all 1.7 parts fitted to convert to volvo fitment, clio flywheel (lighter), brand new clutch, new headgasket, heads decoked and valves relapped, new cambelt (not fitted). all immaculately clean. has stock manifolds and a stainless downpipe off a 2.0 clio, which fits nicely.

totally rustfree undamaged series 2 shell. interior removed, all inside shiny original primer, spotlessly clean. battery box mounted behind passenger seat, original seat mounts removed and lower ones for bucket seats fitted. immaculate stock dash, series 3 black window trims fitted, tint-top(blue) screen), debdged grille, rubbing strips removed, debadged, small front lower lip spoiler. overall a very clean shell. 2.0L ford focus duratec rad with twin electric fans fitted. its blue.

black leather nardi classic steering wheel with bosskit

twin leafed rear suspension, 3" lowering blocks and bolts, rebuild gearbox (spotlessly clean) with welded diff, land rover pro-comp 3000 gas shocks. rear hubs redrilled to 4x108 ford for cheaper wheel choice. stock brakes.

custom made one off front coilovers made using toyota AE86 parts. TRD gas inserts, cusco camber adjust top mounts, 2-1/4" springs so easily adjsutable rates, all welded into stock volvo spindles- drill 2 holes in your strut top and they go straight on.

13x8 alley cats rear(4x100 or 4x108 available), 13x7 alleycats or 13x7 superlites front.

overall, this has the potential to be one of the nicest 340s in the country, with performance to back up its looks. as ive said, the cars been sat with most of the hard work done for over 4 months now, but i dont really have time to finish it.

if i was gunna break it, id need deposits on all the major parts before i split it. will post pics up later, and if you want anything post up and ile figure out a price for you.

Cheers.

Put some pics up, that sounds really nice! Would be a shame to break if it's already rust free!

Yeah sounds great, would be great if someone could put it together. I'm sure it would be worth it just for the investment and selling it on once fixed :)

im uploading some pics now.

basically it needs-

engine fitting(literally only dropping it in onto its mounts) cambelt putting on, maniolds and starter bolting on.
prop (x2 included) fitting, driveshafts fitting (x2 sets included).
rear brakes reassembling, master cyl fitting, then bleeding.
dash bolting back in.
shell hasnt been drilled to fit the coilovers, it currently has stock struts with cut springs and ep90 fitted.
engine bay wiring loom fitting- both a series 3 1.7 one AND a clio one with ECU are included.
bonnet/grille/heater matrix/airbox etc. refitting.
exhaust making.
some seats- i want to keep the ones in it. mounts take standard aftermarket bucket seat mounts so bolt in fitment.

the car was factory zebarted, has never been welded(apart from modifications ive done- seat rails and battery box), and doesnt need any either. it really is exceptionally good.

just usual fitting and fiddling, etc. something i dont have time for right now. basically its a shit-hot early 3 door 340 with sorted suspension and drivetrain, just in kit form!!

price is hard to gauge, depending on what a prespective buyer would/wouldnt want.

but, say for the rolling car, all the modded rear suspension+ gearbox, the coilovers, what there is of an interior- dash/steering wheel, etc., complete engine setup, the minilites for the front and either a pair of alleycats or compomotive for the rear, basically everything youd need to put it together bar a pair of bucket seats and a few sundries, i think £1300 is fair.

split it down a bit-

complete engine setup-600 may sound pricey, but the new clutch, HG, cambelt, head bolts, etc run to over 200. plus have you tried buying 1.7 conversion bits recently?!

coilovers-350 again, may sound steep, but the bits to do the coilovering are the best part of 100, then the insters are nigh on 200, and the topmounts £125+. i know ive got over £500 in these.

gearbox (5spd from a s3 btw)with welded diff-75
rear twinleaf conversion with shocks, lowering blocks+ bolts-200
steering wheel-50
superlites-70
a pair of alleycats-80
dash-50
rolling shell mini any of above, but including everything else fitted to it, with v5c-250

so would be in your favour to take the lot together ;)

Man, that looks awesome. Could be the makings of the ideal retro daily beater...

cheers

unfortunately no, its not an early dash model.
its a quite bizarre crossover model, in that although all other features are 'early- bumpers, indicators, mirrors, air vents, rear lights, etc. the dash is the same as a s3.

it made a pretty good daily beater as it was even with a 1.4- i ran it for a year like this. with the f7p its a retro daily beater that has the potential to whip most things off the lights, and go sideways round every corner you see!
