im putting a renauld 19 1.9 turbo diesel engine in ma 340 and wonderd if a would need the 1.7 sump and would it fit ?

I know the derv head looks like the 1.7 head. I'm fairly sure that the sump should fit but have never tried so cannot confirm. If the 1.7 sump will not fit then you will have to make brackets to support the engine.

parts catalogue tells lubricant system (oil pump + sump etc) are the same for D16 and B172 models, so big question is will the d16/b172 sump fit underneath the 1.9 diesel engine; if that is from the same engine family the answer probably is yes but if that doesn't fit you'll have to customize the 1.7/d16 sump to get clearence for the steering rack.

Will fit so long as its not a later engine with chain driven oil pump.
But the F8Q bottom end i had here it fitted fine.
