Hi all, chasing engine mounts now, its's never ending!

I'm wondering if 360GLT B200E engine mounts are able to be interchanged with any other model - 240 for instance?

Also looking for a rear windscreen wiper kit, with all the appropriate parts.

Update, I've been able to find out the parts number for the engine mounts 3286524, also found out the price from the dealer...glad I was sitting down for that!

I'm still looking for any info at all on the mounts, I also hear Classicswede ( I'll send a PM to feel out the waters) has been talking about making some...any suggestions how we can speed that process along?

For some parts it's still worth knowing how much, because for an increasing number of parts there's no price because they're no longer available.

The dealer quoted $340.00 AUD...each.

Just because they're able to quote a price doesn't necessarily mean they're available ... Ronnie sold a set on UK Ebay about 6 months back, maybe he knows who he sold them to?

Otherwise try replying to (bumping ;-)) Dai's "Performance parts" thread. If you're still in trouble, I'll e-mail you the addresses of some people in Holland you could try.

Cheers

Tom

well actually i know where those new mounts went; they went to holland at a mate of mine.
in the near future we're gonna look into a reproduction or alternative mounting using those for comparison

Ok, how soon is the near future? It's not like an Australian "country mile" is it?

i assume that they are stretched out to a lever where the sump starts hitting the steering rack? you can fill the mounts out about 8mm so that it will clear the sump, takes the irritating clacking noise away

i guess it could take about a half year or so till we get to it..

Ah yes, after replacing the clutch and moving things about there is some extra noises and they don't sound very pleasing at all...rather embarrassing to Miss 17, especially when all of her friends and flashy little cars less than 1/3 the age of the Volvo!

Ok time for a bit of a chuckle!

I've been looking all over the place -eBay included, found this listing for a similar shaped mount...

http://cgi.ebay.com:80/ebaymotors/ws/eB ... OTORS:1123Notice how the seller says they've been 40 years in the European Car Parts business etc, etc?

I decided this seller might be helpful, so sent the following message, via the "ask seller a question" button - Hi, I'm looking for engine mounts for a 1985 Volvo 360 GLT with B200E engine, this part looks very similar, is there any chance it would fit the 360?
Thanks in advance.

Just received this reply - Sorry mate, we didn't even know a 360 GLT w/a B200E engine existed till your question. We'll have to say no unless you can give us the size data so we can match our part to your needs.
Good day mate and thanks for shopping Macs European Solutions

Seems there's still people on the planet that don't know about these little gems.

Cheers all! sm4
