Anyone care to fire some photos over to me? (I'm registered with enough forums for now

)
I have a feeling it's the one I was tipped-off about last week going by the description.

I'm not sure if you need to be logged in to view these:
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?p=650463
Volvo 340 GL Auto 1.4, 3 Door Hatchback, Maroon colour.
MOT & Tax Sept 2010, 28,700 mls, excellent condition, well maintained and regular serviced. I've owned the car since 15-09-02 and it has always been garaged.
The previous lady owner that used it died and the car was kept in a garage for 12 years before I bought it. It's had a complete new clutch, two new drive belts, starter motor, lift pump, and as stated above, has always been professionally maintained.
The reason for selling is, because of a more than full working life, and I'm now in my seventies, I need a car with power steering!!!!
I will be very sorry to see it go.
Interested parties can contact me, Ron Hibbert, on my Bolton home number 01204 849576 or mobile 07522298167.
R Hibbert
Love the interior!
Tom

You should go for it mate. You can't beat a bit of Vario goodness.
I'm quite happy to keep my white one (which might be out today being exercised by my friend in my absence) , so no room at the moment for more.
If I get another Vario, it has to be pre-1980 and I have to ditch the Citroen which I'm a little reluctant to do. Also I have a resto that needs doing as it's about 18 years and still incomplete.

Think itll be out of my price range though.
I suppose I could sell the pos blue oval im (almost) running atm.
Might just scrape the transition without bankrupcy.

They don't come much better than that

Stating the obvious but there's got to be very few left in that condition now.

Spoke to Ron the owner tonight.
Thoroughly nice chap.
The ask is 7-800 ish.
too much for me.
But absolutley fair for what it is I think.
Always garaged, £1000 spent on the belts and clutch from volvo dealer, all maintenance at dealer etc etc.
Make somebody a lovely pride and joy.

lets hope the dealer adjusted the belts and clutch properly; especially the clutch or it won't last 10k...
in holland you shouldn't even consider going to a volvo dealer for those jobs anymore, they just mess it up big time

don't know if england is the same story but i can imagine it is..
the car looks the tits! loads of stainless trim, nice red color and with that lovely red interior! all it needs is a proper set of wheels

A thousand thanks pyro, now I get to see the beast! I see now, that it's actually a 83MY car, and not a 82MY like mine.
Cor! Lovely terracotta seats!
If I'd a duodecuple garage, I'd have that in a shot.
But, I'd only pay that sort of money if I was over in the UK. Not a chance sticking it on the boat unless it's over 30, and preferable pre '80 (Anything over 30 years old is 48 yoyo tax, although the rules changed at the beginning of the year and they drew a halt to the rolling 30 year NCT exemption.

)
I'd say there are still a few out there waiting to be discovered in garages.
(those trims would have to go in the bin though. Original steelies with the posh rings please)
