Driveshaft hex bolt

Having one of "those" days.
Last bolt to undo on the driveshaft, bit tighter than all the others have been then, twang, it loosened off, but only because it's snapped in half
So has anyone got a spare bolt for me, on the hub end if it makes a difference?
Cheers.

Er super bodge mode engage would it be ok missing a bolt? If not it's hammer and chissel time now to get the stump out.

I would say "yes" as there are enough of them on the drive shaft. However, in the back of my mind I'd be thinking - it's got that many for a reason. Over a few 100 miles I think you'll be ok but I'd get a new one soon from a hardware store/good breaker.

I thought they were all the same length as the inner and outer joints are the same thickness.
High tensile 10.9 things, so don't go using 8.8s.

Handily i have found one in a draw from somewhere on my VW, it fit's the thread fine but is a little longerthan the other maybe a 2-3mm, sure it won't cause an issue. My famous last words.

If all else fails, let me know, I'm pretty sure I have one of those bolts - 3298462

Do yourself a favour, and swap them all for ones from a 360 - 10mm-headed "normal" bolts instead of the horrible things 340s have which round off for a living.

I did manage to get them all out without rounding any, but it's still a bit of a pig of a job.
I've not put the driveshafts back on yet, so i may well do just that.
Anyone got any 360 bolts going then, a complete set obviously?

The hex socket headed ones I got new from a fastener place in Slough when I worked near by.
Surely you could get the correct 10.9 high tensile bolts from your local nut and bolt man??
(for anyone near Slough, it was Apex Fasteners on the trading estate.)

I have a set. You want the whole lot?
Btw...let it be said quietly...but my 343 has two snapped bolts (so only four in place) on the N/S outer hub...transmitting 145lbft to the road. Hasn't broken yet...and I've been too lazy to sort it out, to date.
cheers
