Clutch arm return spring & gaiter

Wanted, some bits for an 82MY 1.4 manual:

Clutch arm return spring. Volvo no. 3294790. (Appears the same for all models 340/360)
Clutch arm gaiter. Volvo no. 3203097 (3288260) (For 1.4, but would like to know if later 1.7 3244124 or 2.0 3296077 could be used as substitute)

I'm yet to come accross a 340 that actually uses the return spring even though vadis lists it. The boot from a 1.4 will fit if you cut the part that sits over the cable down so i guess the 1.7 should fit. 360 is different.

Ta for that. It's been reported to me that the spring is broken and dangling

From what I understand about the gaiter, all 1.4 and 1.7 >85 are the same. 1.7 from ch. 121000 is different and 360 is very different. Question really should be, is the size of the hole the same?

Back to the spring, I'm sure they work in a sense when it isn't there, it's just something that has merit in being there in a cable clutch setup to keep the release bearing off the cover when the pedal isn't depressed.
