the year isnt great (old for mk3) neither is the spec (but central locking?? new one on a gl for me), but it looks lovely - bodycoloured bumpers on a gl is unusual too, and has anyone seen that bootlid stripe before?

Spotted this car yesterday...

I have to say it looks very clean and straight, with a pretty damn low mileage. Barely any rust sounds good too! I've seen that boot stripe a few times before, even on GLTs... it can look quite good.

That bootlid stripe is very nice indeed, it is chrome....

I've got some of those chrome stripes here, but removed it from my car.


Personally, I don't like it. It only looks good on non GLT's (all details are black on GLT's) or older 300's
Chrome belongs on cars from the 70's... and I love chrome on those!
IMHO 80's cars should be stripped of all chrome! On those, black and color coded plastics rule!!!
