A GLT will do that stock... Although 500rpm less with the taller diff

My 1.7 will do it around 9-11 secs to 60 and pulls quick in 3rd.. i think it will do 100mph in 3rd? what i do know is that by 80 it slows accel alot!

Hmm, 360GL with 3.36 diff will do 93kph with 2nd and bit above 150 with 3rd, I don't think 100mph is possible with any combination unless revving far beyond safe range?

Anyway 3rd is ridiculously tall gear in these boxes, old M46 was so much better, I have one in my daily driver :) Too bad those boxes never made to 300 :(

+1... My 360 feels quicker from 65-80, than it does from 50-70 in third!

I agree, but as a side effect you hardly use fuel when going 60, 70 (in third) and 80 (in fourth) km/h

My 360glt took pretty much bang on 13 seconds to 100kph tonight, could have shaved a few tenths off by flat changing, but the old girl gets abused enough.

That's a true 100 kph too, reads 112 on my speedo.

Never head of flat changing before, but it seems to involve keeping the throttle wide open during a quick gear change. Doesn't sound too great for the car :P.

I just read one site where someone mentioned not using the clutch while changing gear. I've done that a few times, but you have to exactly match the revs or you get horrid grinding noises  Very occasionally I'll slip to neutral without the clutch when down changing to avoid the first part of double clutching, but you have to ease off the throttle a bit.

Stopwatch from the standing start till the speedo swept past 110kph. did it a few times, and it was normally in the high twelves. it did have a full tank of fuel, a few few spares in the car and my fat arse weighing it down.

Well I changed the breather hoses and the time is now down to about 18 seconds 0-100kph. Still too much though, and it's not really 100 kph, just what's indicated on the speedo.

If you've got bent steering or suspension then its not going to run straight so you won't get a true time anyway. I would suggest a full mechanical going over, first and then you can try 0-100 times ;)
