Volvo 340 F7P Conversion to Torque Tube

Post by Bodyman »

Alright all,

I'm running a F7P in my 340, and so far i've already rounded the splines on 1 Propshaft.

I was just wondering if it's as simple as swapping the Bellhousing, Propshaft and Gearbox to the items from a Volvo 360 ( TorqueTube instead of Gearbox ! )to be able to handle more power for when the F7P is rebuilt with my Low-Compression Pistons and T25 Blower over Summer!

Any Help would be mucho appreciated!

simply they dont swap over wro ng bolt pattern
but if you rely want to put a 360 torque tube in you might as well run the volvo redblock 2.3turbo monster power then
or just take a 340 prop and get it uprated at a prop shaft place
i went around to my local place and they quoted about 200quid i think it was that for a prop with normal flanges mated to the slide on standard joints, ujs at each end and a sliding joint thats what ill be doing as getting hold of the 360 stuff is proving hard and when its breaks (i allways think like that) it would be a mission to find replacement parts were as you can have your prop built to take anything
food for thought
