Hi guys well i had a bargain from the place everyone loves to hate the other day. A straight through back box, made by Peco. The box is 2" straight through with a 3" Round tailpipe.
The main box is the same diameter as a 340 box. But obviously the pipe to go over the axle was the problem. So time to consider my options!! So i made it up with two bends from a 360 back box we had lying about, a bend from a porsche 911 system and a reducer from something else. The system fits well on the car and i feel the tailpipe isn't too large. The sound is awesome, not too loud but quite a low note. Anyways here is the pics.

I've got the same idea. I have bought a Remus Renault 1.8 16V rear box from the scrappy. A friend of mine is going to weld a piece of 360 pipe on it. Then a nice new layer of heat resistant paint and I will have a brand new exhaust!
And no, the size is not in Inches!
The box is 55mm straight through and the endpipe is 100 mm.
Quite big but I think it will look and sound sweet!
My gf's 1.7 has had a sports system for some time now it's quiet for my standards but gf wont have are ear bleeder. I've used a big 2" jetex oval box in the middle and a slighty shorter one for the back box with my own tail pipe welded on.
