Heh heh! Yeah, I never knew it was so complicated. Great site, I've sent a link to my sister, the master of the shotgun in my family!

On a similar note, does anyone else play 'yellow car' on long journies? My girlfriend tought me it, she used to play it with her sisters when she was little. I thought it was a random family thing, then we met someone else who had heard of it!

Basically, once traveling, the first person to spot a yellow car shouts "yellow car!" and punches the leg of the person sitting next to them. Once it has been called, it cannot be repeated on the same car for the rest of the journey. Acceptable variations include "yellow van", "yellow truck", etc. The rule is that it has to be an independant vehicle, capable of movement, although it can be parked up at the time. But not a house or a bus shelter or something. And it has to be at least 50% yellow, so no calling on yellow stripes or number plates.

Next time you're out with passengers, give it a go. You'd be suprised how addictive it is, as everyone tries to be first to spot one and avoid a beating off their neighbour!

Cheers

Terms and conditions apply. This post may go down as well as up. Regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Hard hats to be worn. No reversing without a banksman. No admittance to unauthorized persons. Stop that. Put that down. Leave that alone.

Yeah, used to play that on a school trip to Paris, only was it called "twingo". Big fun, when you're good at it;)

Reminds me of a trip together with my girlfriend; each time I saw a Volvo I hit her on her leg. She got tired of that pretty soon, so she said "from now on you're allowed to hit me only if you see an elephant"... 10 minutes later we passed 3 huge concrete elephants sm45 sm59
