I managed to fit a twin 40 down draft on my 360 GLS.It came off of a ford 2.8 i think. It was an upgrade of sorts just so i did not have to put the loom and ecu and other stuff on the GLS.It had a kent cam L4 profile on the engine and was useless under 3000 rpm but once it got there it went like the clappers.I used a piece of 10mm aluminium to make an adapter and fabricated a throttle cable holder. The only thing i did not have time for was to get the carb jetted and set up for the engine it went on,and the result being we ran out of petrol about 6 miles from the end of the rally.I knew it had to be tuned as the smell coming out the exhaust was so rich you could not drive behind the car with your windows down as i made your eyes water.I was at a red light one day and a van pulled up behind me and you should have seen the bloke, he could'nt wind his window up quick enough.LOL.

lol, funnily enough I do still have a 38dgas here on the shelf, trouble is I think it'll be a lot harder (and more expensive) to setup the engine with that than to use an lh2.4 injection setup. How would you choose to control ignition on a 2.3l if you ditched the injection setup?

Use a 240 electronic dizzy, the one with the hall sensor in the dizzy and the amplifier pack.It has always worked for me in the past.

Right, started sorting through the bits to fit to the car! - had time in the evenings and some days when not working to play with some suspension, as the car is for rally use I havent been to bothered about making things look too nice (they will get very muddy again soon
), just cleaning them up and renewing/painting as required. Fitted a couple bits and pieces including dai's wishbone bushes and some superflex radius arm ones as well as the main event
