Headlamp wipers

Post by RobT_75 »

My 340 is fitted with headlamp wipers, albeit the blades are missing. But how do you switch them on? Do they operate at the same time as the main wipers? I don't have the benefit of an owners manual and the Haynes manual doesn't have much about this.

I think they come on briefly when you spray the windscreen, as i can usually hear them moving. But i may be wrong.

Yeah they should move when spraying the windscreen. I know mine do. Though one is missing the clip on the end of the wiper arm, so there's no blade, and all I hear is scratch scratch...

So they do, cheers. The wiper arms appear intact so I just need to get some replacement blades now. Failing that, I'll keep to the damp rag method.
