Think I saw his stuff though. Deff snide, but like you say, whats the real difference? far east copies now are right up to the quality of origonals across the board. Do you know the username offhand dude?
If I miss the one I want, I might give him a pop.

Although this may be disruptive for the future of our universe - I'm don't think the pug boss will make the horn or indicator cancel work, although it will get you round corners just fine.volvosneverdie wrote:And if someone comes on this thread now and says that pug momo bosses dont fit three hundreds, I swear to god im going to smash the internet to tiny pieces in a rage so violent and terrible that it'll make the very fabric of time and space quake.
Re: Mountney/Momo bosses etc.
Yea the horn on a pug boss will need a bit o fabrication to get it working.

I shall spare your life. For the good of your family.
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!
Seriously, will the horn really not work?
its only a horn for jeebuz's sake. Its a lead from the battery with a switch, that goes beep to the beepy bit.
I dont mind losing indicator cancelation, but mot requires a working horn doesnt it?
I suppose I could get a large victorian brass and rubber bulb affair that goes Parp!
But that would have to be mounted within arms reach. and probably externally.
Can someone please ruin my life and confirm that I will lose my precious, precious horn running a pug momo boss please.
Or better yet, tell me it'll work fine?

The horn has a modicum of sophistication because there are contacts on the steering column with mate up with a circular track of electrodes of the right size and spacing on the boss (actually, they're on the boss insert from your old wheel which you ram into the new boss). Confused yet? I am...
A button on your dash will pass your MOT, but may not be quite so useful when some schoolboy monged out on space dust or sherbet or whatever crap kids eat these days steps out in front of you without looking. I like my horn where I can hit it in a hurry, but maybe that just means I'm an overly aggressive driver.
I think lack of indicator cancel would actually irritate me more in the long term - I am an indicator fascist - I indicate all the time, even when it's obviously not necessary.
Adam (340GLT) has a snap off wheel boss, which is probably an adapted M Range or Momo and knowing him I'm sure all the details add up. He likes to play his cards close to his chest but if you ask him nicely he might share is ninja pimping tips with you.

Re: Mountney/Momo bosses etc.
Im with you on the horn ron. If you cant get to it instinctivly, in a split second, then it loses most of its usefullness/effectivness.
Indicators is no bother. I ran a fify eight morris oxford with semaphore traficators that you activated from a slide switch on the middle of the wheel, that didnt self cancel, so flipping them on and off with fingertips is a luxury.
Have to sort the horn situation out though. Perhaps Adam can be persuaded to share a couple of his less mysterious secrets.

Re: Mountney/Momo bosses etc.
As Ronnie said, the horn contact ring comes off the old wheel, so it must be possible to put on the new boss. Even the 300 bosses need you to do that.
