Looking at ways to mount my fuel pump. it's going under the car and being bolted to the floor.
I bought a bracket but it''s too wide to fit where I would like it, then I found this...

Only prob is there's no rubber sleeve for the pump to sit in, so no shock damping. Thinking this is important.. what do you guys think?

I'm sure you could find a strip of rubber to fit inside it?

Fuel pump itself doesn't need shock damping. Damping is there to remove vibrations and noise as pumps are quite loud without it.

But like said above, you can fit a rubber sheet in between if you want.

What Fuse said. The rubber there I've always thought was more for grip on clamping the pump securely, preventing it from vibrating out or loose. A rubber strip would do the trick fine!

Why not use the injection original mount? It mounts on 3 rubber cone things. Think these are the same as the air filter mounts.

I sorted it now.. found another bracket that fits in with my plans

I meant from another car and save you engineering something that might generate more noise. I'm a big fan of copying what has already been engineered unless it has been shown to be weak in some way.
