Check if there is a switch present and working on the gas strut.

The festoon bulbs look the right size to me.

I'll check that switch cos i think i can remember seeing the wires hanging off actually and i'll probably buy the bulbs. But the interior light doesnt look like the bulbs blown as the little thread bit is still ok inside the bulb... Any ideas?

Try the bulb on a battery? Check the switches on the hinge panels?

Any LEDs I've tried are sh1t. You can get decent ones, but they cost £10-£20 EACH. Avoid anything that says 'hi-power' or 'super bright' without a lumens figure. I don't even know where to start with how wrong all that advertising is, high power..struth.
Also, interesting terms and conditions on that ebay seller. They could be fined for it without you buying anything, its mostly illegal.

I have that switch on my gas strut, but when the boot is shut the gas strut doesn't move far enough to activate the push switch. I've made a bodge with a 10mm long piece of fuel line that sits on the end of the plastic slider to make it activate.
Does this mean that there is something missing from my strut to make the switch work normally?
