• The Taxi meter thats not!!!! lol

Well after being fed up of the the stalk on my 'taxi meter' squeaking i decided to do the one mod that would prob take the most thinking and the most work. But its been finished a while now and is trouble free!!!
What you reckon guys?

Just get a 400 one mate, I should have custom controllers knocked up in a month or 2. Much more common, and (I think) shows more stuff.

Should have the thing running completely standalone soon, at the moment I'm piggybacking from the 400 ECU thingy, which sucks.

Very Cool, I really want the 480 dash assembly computer thingy, So shall i strip all the parts that link with the gauge when i find one?

Yeah, might as well, it'll be a tad different for the two, but if you can tell me tank sizes and stuff, all will be well. Don't get too excited, as I said , it'll be a month or so I'd imagine! You'll need the LCD only from the dash cluster, also need some kind of fuel flow sender (I'm guessing you're carb) then something to measure revs, axle speed and an oil temp sender.

Only other thing I think thats worth getting out the 400 is the ambient temp sender, that'll be just bumper side of the rad.

Dunno TBH mick as it was a real PITA to get mine to fit, its kinda wedged in there in a retro fit radio cage IIRC and i wouldnt even attempt to do it again. Its not too bad on the stalk, just gets in the way a bit and looks a bit odd!!! As for the wiring etc thats also a bit tricky getting the wires through the stalk as they are glued in and you have to cut the block connector off!!!
However the wires are clour coded, just very fine!!! Why not mount in centre of steering wheel????
