Well seing as i was stuck in a garage on Sunday i thought it would be rude to waste the time. So i took about on another mad idea. 400 stalks. The 440 wiper stalk has a rear wiper button, hense the blanking plate needed. The main beam stalk has the advantage that a cruise control one is available so thats another future plan. The stalks are chunkier than 300 ones and look much nicer. The wiring was pretty straight forward aswell its the mounting that was casuing problems as they are totally different from 300 ones.
So i set about ripping my car apart to get to the column. Firstly i used a 440 mounting bracket to cut down to get parts i needed. I then self tapped these to my 300 column bracket so i could twist them to the right angle. I then fibre glassed them in place.
The conversion is nice although i need to finish making a custom column shroud combining the 300 and 400 one.
