you can get a grill with lights built in - is that what you're after?

Do you mean these type of fog lights? Pretty sure they're a Volvo accessory at the time, I remember seeing them in a brochure at some point. They must be pretty rare though.

Probably the easiest thing to do by drilling the bumper, should look pretty good with a couple of spot lights mounted on it. I saw your redline on ebay when it was for sale, its got to be one of the nicest 340s about - the redline interior is really nice too!

thanks Steve , i'm really happy with it , I am getting her serviced soon to keep the history up to date . I was just lucky it was up the road from me in Northampton. New stereo is next on my christmas list (lol),I would like to lower it and fit different alloys so I can save the originals, I fancy something old school like mambas or minilites with black centres and ally rims.I would also like to get the door bump strips replaced with the ones with the red stripe in i have seen on some cars to keep the redline theme going. By the way has anyone got a large REDLINE sticker from the car mag as I want one for the top of the windscreen (dosn't need a sunstrip cos of the toptint windscreen .

Late style 440 alloys look good on 300s, and are of the same fitment (although I have heard of some discrepencies in slight offset differences - not enough to make a noticable difference I'd imagine)

There are various styles in 15"s which look the right size on 300s in my opinion! Should be cheap too.. from good ol' ebay

james has got 15s on his, trouble is that you have to use relatively low profile tyres that cost a bit more.. and also you have to tell yer insurance if you add anything to a car which isn't origional

That's true to keep the same/similar rolling diameter of the wheel/tyre.

Also, bigger wheels don't tend to help with handling. With the same weight spread over a larger area of tyre, means theres less grip. Also, in the wet the tyres have more water to clear.. so grip is lost again. But look damn good!

After the seat incident , there isnt much left of my old spot lights , I am going to get new ones and would like to fit them properly to brackets this time, I wondered if anyone could tell me where the proper volvo brackets bolted on ? i.e. are they fitted to the bumper iron or somewhere on the car itself , If anyone has a picture of the brackets , could they post it on here so I can get a copy made.thanks
