Petes a busy bloke, and he told you he'd be a while before he'd have that car for sale.
Good luck on getting the white one though, Steve showed this too me earlier, and I was keen. Is that you bidding now? Just I seem to remember being outbid by a "3467edward"
And Germ, we arn't ageist... most of us are everythingist
Thing is, most of us remember what we were like when we got our first cars, for me that was 6 years and 90,000 miles ago. I had a very bad experience and nearly took out 2 random's standing next to a broken down car on the hard shoulder not long after I got my car, and out of my sixth form there were way too many accidents. Most comments are tongue in cheek, others are trying to offer some caution.

Yea, 10 years ago when bought my first it was really bad deal, car was real rust bucket, it consumed more oil than fuel (even when not driven it lost oil) and what I did pay from it I would got some decent runner.
Then I got even worse deal after that from one car, still being one and passionate without any level of control
But it is part of growing up, after 10 years A M R will laugh to his car car car thread, I'm sure of that
Young ones, shall I again start remembering my days of youngster? Even I'm not old still, I'm sure some members are much more senile than I here

About 9 years since i got my first car (i was 27 last week), a red Renault 5 GT Turbo.
Awesome car, but i didnt know much about cars then so it couldve been looked after and tuned better, but it taught me a lot and my 2nd one (bought when i was 19) was awesome thanks to what i learnt with the 1st one.
Im a strong believer of getting a decent powerformance car if you want one right from the start. You need willpower to drive sensible and not beyond your limits, but if you do that you learn to drive a more powerful car a lot easier.
IMO its the people who have a dead slow car at first and get used to being able to rag it to its limits and still be in no danger who end up in tears, as they take these bad habits to the powerful car, not realising not all cars are like that.
I was lucky, my driving instuctor knew i was getting a fast car and as he was a bit of a madman we had a few lessons of how to drive bloody fast and not crash.
So yeah, ive no problems with a 17y/o driving a Veyron if they wanted, just need to know your limits.
Id rather a new driver get straight in a Veyron than go from a 1.1 Saxo for 2years then in to one!

Mine was Toyota Tercel -82 with 1.3l engine, it had leopard fur seats and all that
Haven't had never really money for performance car, those are in stupid prices here. Well, unless 360 counts

But the old fella was still well into rallying so told the instructor to do a few lanes to get the feel.
To be honest it wouldn't do any harm to be part of a test in my humble opinion.
