I'm very tempted....

Post by 5150 »

.... to take out the radio/cassette player I put in my car about ten years ago and bung the original AM/LW radio back in.

The old boy's never really looked right with a fancy radio in central console!

I'm not mad, am I?

And while I'm on the subject, are 340s male or female? Heh! I think mine's a chap. Possibly with a liking for tweed. And I celebrate that. :)

(Hi again, by the way! Sorry for appearing, then vanishing again!)
My pride and joy: a 1986 340 DL 1.4!

Oh yes, stick the old radio back. It will look much nicer.

Most of my cars have been female, but this Redline is definitely a lad...

Why not put the old radio/cassette in the dash, and install the modern one out of sight in the glove box, I done this in my 240, and it worked a treat.

Easy - have both. Take your old stereo apart, and strip it down until all you have is the front facia. Then install your ugly new CD player with the good sound hidden behind it. This way it looks right and takes away a popular reason for having your window broken by some thieving little junkie.

I'll show you some pictures if I ever get round to it.

Yes, having seen Ronnie's radio cover, it sure looked good, even if it didn't stay in place well ;)

She is lady but just more than you can handle.
