Crank Pulley Problem

Hi All
Can someone help me with my Crank Pulley?

It has come apart... the rubber binder layer has
hardened & broke both rings apart. Can I weld it
together the 2 pcs of the pulley together without
long term negative affects?

I cant see anything wrong with that....

Love my little GLT!!!
Kind regards
Peter

Yeah, it'll be a B200 of some sort, only the Volvo engines have that vibration damper/crank pulley held together with compressed rubber. AFAIK the Renault units don't have that, just a simple crank pulley....I think....

I would see if you can get one from a scrappy tbh, the rubber cushion is important to cushion the torsional vibration from the engine, so welding it wouldn't be a great idea. If you completely struggle I have a feeling a new one will be available from the dealer although it won't be cheap.

yes it is a B200 black cover engine... I understand about the
vibration issues.

I havent seen this rubber cushion design on other car's crank pulleys
